Direct connection (simple home made interface)

Connecting a transceiver

You have two basic options for keying the transmitter:

- "hardware" keying via RTS or DTR line of a serial port (preferred)
- "software" command via the CAT interface (supported in some transceivers)

A simple circuit for connecting PTT, CW, and CAT (RXD and TXD) lines to the computer can be as follows. Use a 9- or 25-pin connector.

Connecting a CW paddle

MixW allows connecting a CW paddle to the joystick port. Use a 15-pin connector.

TRLog-compatible LPT port interface

(Since MixW 2.05)
